As Lent ends and spring begins to show itself (despite the impending New England noreaster) I have a lot of exciting things on the horizon to share with you!
As many of you know I have a publishing contract for my book Black Madonna, a womanist look at Mary of Nazareth. This project is one that is really close to my heart and I am enjoying every minute of the process. Spending this time with Mary is really enriching, and the themes about black motherhood that the book will detail are something that I am honored to write about. I feel connected to so many black mamas and women of faith who have lived for centuries.
I am also pleased to announce that I am now represented by the lovely and clever Monica Odom, literary agent. We are working on another project of mine about one of my favorite topics, head coverings.
I have joined the team with the Women in Theology blog where I will be a regular contributor along with the rest of their corps of brilliant women. I hope to add something to the blog with my voice.
Look out for my posts on Sojourners and Relevant Magazine.
I am also diving head first into my personal discernment process and I am considering beginning an online ministry.
What would you be interested in reading about in my posts either here or on one of my other platforms? If you have something you want to dialogue about let me know in the comments.
Much grace, much love.
